Happy New Year! It's the end of the 2010's and the start of the 2020's!
Alot of things have been happening, it feels just like yesterday when I was only entering college aha...
But in the past year, I graduated! And also got a job right after! 
Though more importantly, I feel like I've improved my art in the past months! Backgrounds have always been a challenge to me, so I'm glad I got to make more scenic types of art!

While these good stuff did happen, there were problems that got along the way. One of which is that my job is....well, the pay isn't good. I know it's because I'm just starting out, but it still feels unfair lol. Luckily I'm not paying for living expenses yet haha...

Art wise, I feel like my art has looked pretty much the same, sure my style has evolved but at the same time I feel like it just stagnated. Most of my OC's designs practically resemble popular characters (mostly from idol franchises) and they look more or less cute like usual. It's also not helping me that my job has been keeping me away from drawing more personal works, and I haven't had the time to make more content for my personal projects. I've been wondering to myself for these past years what I can do for the next decade, finally starting a freelancing career? Or rekindle my passion in animation? All this time I've only been trying to survive as an artist. Reality always hits hard on me, like things won't always go my way, but for once I do want to be idealistic, provided I have the drive to actually work hard for it. And that's why I decided to change this way of thinking and actually achieve my dream.

On a positive note, I've found artists that I've idolized because of the content they create, and they also give me the drive to continue improving myself. I've also met many art friends along the way who helped me improve my art. I've also tried to step out of my introversion and communicate with people outside my circle of friends. 

Now, my art goals for this year are:

• Drawing more scenic backgrounds
• Draw more handsome-looking boys
• Continue working on my Magical AU Project (Possibly starting a comic series of some sort)
• Try making artworks that don't give off "cute" vibes?
• Table at a con or open commissions (for real)

Let's not even talk about fandoms lol, I've been jumping from one fandom to another, though I've stayed the longest in idol franchises thanks to their pretty art, like my art style might've changed a bit because of them haha. I still rarely draw fan art. Lol. This year I'll try to balance between original and fan art, though nothing will ever change how I feel about drawing originally.

PS it's been a long time since my last journal entry. I've mostly just updating myself from the artworks I upload here and talk about them in the descriptions, like how I've been doing during that time I posted the artwork haha

Ah, how long has it been since I haven't wrote a journal here?

Anyway, Finals is next week and it's the end of the school year again. Yay! But that doesn't mean I'm completely free, I still got projects to finish...

But enough rambling, this is an art site so why not ramble about Art-related stuff instead?
I'll be honest here, it's not school that got me busy this time, but gaming has consumed my life now. I even thought of supporting them when I could get a card soon. So I haven't had the time to draw because I was too busy playing www

Not only that, but whenever I feel like drawing, the motivation slips away the moment I open my art program. I was thinking of another meme to fill up to add to my gallery.

But hopefully, after I'm done with my projects, I can work on full pieces I've been planning on.

2. Draw OC's Akihito, Takeru, Kasumi, and Kazuki (aka the Yukio Empire Quartet)
3. Ensemble Stars/Love live fan arts (Sakuma Ritsu has consumed my life please help; Chika is best gril)
4. And possibly new OC's/OC aus? I've been drawing princely characters and fantasy charas I kinda want to draw them more now www
5. OC Kazuki as emperor
6. Idol card parodies of my oc's

- I don't mind curry, yakisoba, or apple pie. They taste good for me.

- Vanilla, I guess.

- I have a grudge against a bandmate in middle school. Not sure where he is now, but he's dead to me.

- That's, rather, a tough question to ask.

- Fall season, probably. Weather's usually nice since it's not too hot or too cold.

- I'd consider Mafuyu as one.

- Reading books, stargazing, playing music, oh, I think I missed something.

- Coffee seems good.

- 30th of September. I am a Libra.

- I am not dead.

- Probably somewhere in between. I guess only my friends can tell what am I.

- I never really talked to a lot of people back in high school until now...so you could say I am quite shy, but I still socialize.

19) What do you think of your parents?
- My father has high hopes for my career. He is still a good person, though. He managed to give me a scholarship for university, so you could say he is quite...ambitious towards my career? My mom has been really caring to me and my sister. She is our moral support.

20) What's your weakness?
- I guess when people compliment me like they mean it, my face gets too red.

21) How long can you stay under water?
- I am not quite skilled in swimming, so I guess I'm at an average person's.

22) What do you do on a regular day basis?
- Typical college student stuff. Like waking up, preparing for school, take classes, go to my dorm, study (since I have a scholarship after all, hahaha), sleep, and the cycle repeats. Though I also have club activities after school.
- In high school, I go to band club, and even after club activities, I do self-practice. I even go to a tutor to train me on competitions.

23) Do you love someone?
- Hmmm....probably a special guy. After he said that I motivated him to be special in his own instrument, I felt something in my heart...could this be love? Precisely what I thought...

24) When was the last time you wet yourself?
- Uhhmmm, probably when I was a little kid...it's a funny story (haha)

- Classical or rock? Either way, my tastes are completely different from the usual mainstream music today.

- Some moron made plenty of these strange "cosplay" costumes, so it is not even a one time thing that I have worn a dress.

- No. That person is dead to me.

- Having little conversations, I guess.

- My trombone. It is very special to me.

- Me and my sister used to have two lovebirds.

- Mitsuru* called me Haya-chan once. An underclassman sometimes mistakes me for another member that resembles like me, so he followed Mitsuru.

- I'd travel through time and space.

- A movie that is motivational, or anything involving space, music, or philosophy.

- I'm a college student, majoring in literature.

- Please refer to the person in #26. Also Mafuyu's roommate. He gets on my nerves sometimes that I want to kill him.

- What do you mean?

- I will have think about it yet.

- I have a pure and untainted side in my heart. I would not do that to a lady. Unless if the sleepover is more than just two people, and they are in different sexes.

- I never really understood what you meant by this.

- No.

It's been two months since my last journal entry, so let this be more of an art related journal, with a bit of a few life-related stuff.

I haven't posted anything here for almost 2 weeks or more, so this may come in a short notice: College is finally back (but it's a month delay than the usual here at my uni, haha), so that's also saying I might not post as much like I used to. But! I'll try my best to post at least once a month now, considering that my class schedule this semester is REALLY fucked up.

I have a few projects that were left on hiatus like the Ring! Ensemble Project (I haven't drawn the rest of the band members yet), and its magical-RPG verse au (out of the six planned character designs, only two were finished). I also have a list of planned fan arts from Touken Ranbu, Kantai Collection, Undertale and other series and franchises planned, so I guess look forward to that as well.

But at least these projects can save me from art block, even if they're going to slow down for a long time until the next vacation starts. Artworks may now be posted weekly, there on my twitter and tumblr (I'm a lot more active in these sites, so why not check them out instead)


And, well, talking about college, some of the major subjects I have this year are the same subjects I took back in high school, so it's probably not going to be as stressful and hectic like last year's (considering that I had too many plates hahaha). I just hope I could finish everything before the semester ends lol

And if you're curious about the journal's title, well, I won't be a senpai for 2 years because of our school's new system. But at least I'm a second year now, haha.

Anyways, I wish myself luck from my waifu, Nozomi Toujou, and for those on the other side of the world, how is summer? Hot right?

Well, it's already rainy season here in my place, but the mornings are always hot as hell.

Anyway!

This entire month, I had an art block, so I was unable to draw a lot, only short doodles and sketches, and I've been rambling on twitter about life, anime, and other stuff. The good thing is, that I had a lot of ideas, but I could hardly execute them properly, not to mention that I can't decide on which piece I should start, and which piece I should drop for the moment because of how much my level can handle.

But! I finally had one idea executed, and I'm currently in the process of drawing the concept, and later on, I can make official art of those. That idea, is a series of character and outfit designs, which is my strong point because I make a lot of original characters. Now! I'm at the part where to revise the outfits of the characters to fit in their own groups, and something like that requires some help of some experts on character design, so I can tell if my designs are unique. This is rather, a difficult task to complete. 

But those character designs weren't the only ones on my list, I've added more characters to draw fan art, and finally, I could make more speedpaints.

Come to think of it, my art blog has never been active lately, so I thought of deleting it, but I wonder what will my followers think? I guess it's for the better anyway.

So, hopefully, my art block will subside soon and I'll be able to draw more.
